Berta Prevosti

Lead Trainer, Founder of The Raja Center and Jiiva Yoga

E-RYT 500, YACEP

Berta Prevosti is a lifelong student and teacher of Raja Yoga and metaphysical studies, with a deep passion for guiding others along the spiritual path. As the founder of Jiiva Yoga, Healing & Meditation Center in Stratford, Connecticut and The Raja Center Berta has devoted her life to the study and transmission of yogic wisdom in all its dimensions—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Her dharma is to continue learning and teaching across a wide range of subjects, including the Eight Limbs of Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga), the Chakra system, healing and disease, meditation, and the Bhagavad Gita. Her teachings are rooted in traditional yogic philosophy yet made accessible through her clear, compassionate, and empowering approach.

In the Yoga Teacher Training, Berta brings over 30 years of experience to help students grow into confident, conscious teachers, encouraging them to explore yoga as a complete way of life—not just a physical practice.

Mingo Perez

Co-Trainer,

E-RYT 500, YACEP

Mingo Pérez began his journey with asana yoga at the age of fifteen, but it was his later discovery of the deeper dimensions of yoga that truly transformed his path. Over the years, he has dedicated hundreds of hours to personal practice, honing a teaching style that is both clear and conscious. His classes are known for being rejuvenating and challenging, always infused with patience, compassion, and mindfulness.

Mingo deepened his studies by traveling to India, where he trained in Ashtanga Yoga under Saraswathi Jois, daughter of the legendary Pattabhi Jois. This experience, along with his evolving meditation and pranayama practice, affirmed for him the transformative power of yoga beyond the physical postures.

As an E-RYT 500 and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Mingo has spent the last 8 years sharing the profound teachings of yoga, meditation, and breathwork with students of all levels, helping them tap into their own potential for balance, clarity, and inner strength.
